New Selection Tool Makes Pixel Art Editing a Breeze
Ever spent way too long trying to move a tiny detail in your sprite? We've all been there. That's exactly why we built the new Selection Tool for Pixelverse.
Select, Copy, Move — Done
The selection tool lets you draw a rectangle around any part of your canvas. Once selected, you'll see those familiar "marching ants" showing exactly what you've grabbed. From there, you can:
- Copy your selection (Cmd/Ctrl+C)
- Paste it anywhere (Cmd/Ctrl+V)
- Move it around before committing
The pasted content floats above your canvas until you press Enter to commit. Changed your mind? Just hit Escape.
Why This Matters
Before this update, repositioning elements meant tedious pixel-by-pixel redraws. Now you can iterate on your sprites in seconds. Need to adjust a character's arm position? Select it, move it, done.
Works With Your Workflow
The selection tool plays nice with layers and frames. Select from one layer, paste to another. Copy a detail from frame 1 to frame 5. It's all seamless.
Try It Now
Press S to activate the selection tool, or click the selection icon in the toolbar. Your pixel art workflow just got a whole lot smoother.
